Obituary for Brian F. Smith
Brian F. Smith, 64, of Portsmouth, NH, passed away after a prolonged battle with cancer, on Thursday, September 28, 2017.
He was born September 4, 1953, in Los Angeles, CA, the son of Walter Smith and Mary (Johnson) Smith.
The Smith family relocated to Nashua, NH in 1967.

Brian worked for many years cooking at the Golden Egg, in Portsmouth, NH.
Prior to that, he worked as a chef at many New Hampshire and Maine restaurants.
He proudly served in the US Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Brian loved to build guitars and model trains. His passion was cooking and he delighted in watching people eat his culinary creations.
He was a lover of all kinds of music (yes, even yodeling) and never met an animal that he didn’t like.
Brian’s best friend was his beloved basset hound, Matilda.
Brian was a darn nice guy.

Brian is survived by his brothers, Kevin Smith, and his wife, Deborah, of Nashua, NH, Matthew Smith, of Newmarket, NH, and Daniel Smith, of Nashua, NH; his sisters, Cathlin Smith, of Portsmouth, NH, Melissa Hall, and her husband, Nathaniel, of Nashua, NH; his brother-in-law Keith Tinker, of Hudson, NH; and many nieces and nephews.
Brian is predeceased by his brother, Steven Smith, and his sisters, Mary Tinker and Amy Smith.

The family will gather for a burial at Edgewood Cemetery, in Nashua, on Friday, October 6, at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA, or your favorite animal charity.
