Obituary for Lester Hutchinson
Lester W Hutchinson, Jr. (“Bud Hutch”) peacefully passed away in the late evening hours of March 4, 2018, due to a stroke he suffered earlier in the week. Born in Henniker, NH, in May of 1929, his family subsequently settled in Wilton, NH.

“Hutch” was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Korea. He married Esther Elizabeth O’Donnell in 1954. They built their home on Isaac Frye Highway in Wilton, NH; from which they raised their three children. Esther and Bud retired to their “Camp” on Lake Whittemore, located in Bennington, NH, in 1994. Initially employed by Draper Fuel Co., Bud ventured out to start his own Automotive Supply Business and with Esther handling the Bookkeeping, they were a very successful pair! An avid sportsman; Fly Fishing was his passion; Bud taught many friends and relatives how to wield a fishing pole, but none could compare to his expertise with the Fly Fishing Rod. Winter months found him Ice Fishing or running his snowmobiles over local trails. His talent for cutting wood was unsurpassed as he stacked cords of firewood for many years to come. He also found time to grow an amazing garden with plenty to share!

Pre deceased by his Beloved Wife, Esther, surviving family members, include Brother- in-Law Thomas O’Donnell of Rochester, NY; Sister-in-Law Phyllis O’Donnell of Grandbury, TX; Daughters Deanna Jackson and her husband, Matt of Poland, ME and Jayne Driscoll and her husband, Marty of Tempe, AZ; Son Greg Hutchinson and his wife, Bambi of Wilton, NH; Grandsons Jessy Moudry of Queen Creek, AZ and Jeremy Hutchinson of Wilton, NH; Great Grandchildren include Madisson Hutchinson-Somero, Dominic Hutchinson, and Evan Moudry. Bud was also close to his Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be held on May 19th in Wilton, NH, at the Michaud Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Bud will be laid to rest next to his Beloved Wife at the South Lyndeborough Cemetery, following the Service.
