Amy L. Miller, 80, of Peterborough, NH passed away peacefully at home on Friday April 7, 2023. She was born May 11, 1942, in Newark, NJ to parents Robert and Edythe Prupis.
Amy grew up in West Orange, NJ. She spent summers on Long Beach Island, NJ. She then came to New England where she graduated with a degree in psychology from Brandeis University and a M. Ed from Harvard. Later in life, she returned to school and earned a PhD from Lancaster University in England. Amy worked as a private practice psychologist in MA for many years.
She was an avid traveler, having seen much of the US, Western and Eastern Europe, Russia, India and Turley. She visited many of the Caribbean Islands, Mexico and Costa Rica. Amy’s real love was art. She was an avid painter, figure drawer and sculptor.
She loved the Monadnock region and its busy art scene. She loved attending art shows, plays and concerts throughout the region.
Amy is survived by her daughter Michelle Adams and her husband John; her sister Julie Schlien; her granddaughters, Sofya Gurel, Lilith Adams and Mini Gurel; and her nephew Aurelius Rune.
