Obituary for Barry Mark Girard
Barry M. Girard, 61, of Milford, NH, passed away, April 30, with family by his side, at the Crestwood Center in Milford, NH. He was born in Claremont, NH, the son of Alfred Girard and Elaine (Goodhue) Girard.
Barry was a scrap metal dealer for much of his life, but he also loved learning about and collecting old pocket watches and going to auctions and estate sales to look for other antiques and collectibles. He enjoyed trips to the ocean, especially if he could also go to yard sales. Most of all, Barry loved his family and was happiest spending time with them. Even when he was ill, his grandson Austin could always bring a smile to his face.
Barry is survived by his wife Mary Girard; a daughter, Anna Girard of Milford, and a grandson, Austin Olson; three brothers; Alfred Girard and his wife Anna, of Maryland, Steve Girard of Claremont, Keith Girard of Claremont, and a sister, Susan Fletcher and her husband Steve, of Unity. He also had many nieces, nephews and cousins. Barry was pre-deceased by his first wife, Marie Girard in 1989, and his parents Alfred and Elaine Girard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Animal Rescue League in Bedford, NH.
All are warmly invited to calling hours at the Michaud Funeral Home on Thursday, May 5, 2016, from 6-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday May 6, 2016, at 2:30 pm at Sacred Heart Church, Greenville, NH. Interment will be in Miller Cemetery in Temple, NH.
