Obituary for Carma Miller Holt
Carma Miller Holt, 92, of Lyndeborough, NH, died at Ledgewood Bay in Milford, NH on Saturday, November 20, 2021. She was born on Sept. 7, 1929, in Mason, NH, the daughter of Harold C. Miller and Lena M. (Barnes) Miller. She graduated from Spaulding High School in Townsend, MA, class of 1947. Carma and her late husband William raised their five children at Holt Brothers Orchards and Dairy Farm, the family farm in Lyndeborough, NH. William passed away in 1999. She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Virginia Rafter and Lucille Bootes.
Carma was a woman of faith, she taught Sunday School at both the Second Congregational Church of Wilton and the United Church of Lyndeborough. She was active in the PTA, the Dogwood Reservation Club, NH Extension and served as a 4-H leader for 7 years. Carma helped the Red Cross as a fundraising volunteer for many years. She loved her family and especially loved to play cards with them on the holidays. She had beautiful flower gardens and loved to spend time with her grandkids baking cookies.
Carma is survived by her loving family; 2 daughters, Virginia Holt of Somersworth, NH, and Susan Pierce of Weare, NH and 3 sons, Mark C. Holt and his wife, Mary, of Wilton, NH, Dan Holt of Lyndeborough, NH, and David Holt of Somersworth, NH; and; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer Savoy of Contoocook, NH, Timothy Pierce of Pierceton, Indiana, Mark Holt of Ft. Pierce FL, Keegan Holt and his wife Elise of Mont Vernon, NH, Mitchell Holt of Apex, NC, Michael Holt and his wife Alison of Syracuse, NY, Cameron Holt of Greenfield, Connor Holt of Lyndeborough, NH, and Jacob Holt of Wilton, NH; and 10 great-grandchildren, Amoria , Joshua, William, Amelia, Rebecca, Matthew, Ethan, Colin, Quincy and Kalena.
All are warmly invited to calling hours Monday, November 29, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. at Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple Street, Wilton, NH. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church of Wilton with burial following the services on Tuesday at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Wilton, NH. A luncheon will be held at the Second Congregational of Wilton following burial.
