David Skidmore, 84, of Lyndeborough, NH died peacefully on March 25, 2024 in his home. David was raised in California and served in the U.S. Army as a Ranger. He and his family moved to Merrimack, New Hampshire where he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. David went on to work for Sanders (now BAE) for many years. When he retired from Sanders he and his wife, Jean, moved to Lyndeborough, NH where he built the home he lived out his life in.
David loved nature and would be found outside daily walking with his dog Charlie or tinkering around with things outside the house. He loved to be busy. When he wasn’t out and about, you could find him reading a book in his chair.
David is survived by his wife Jean Skidmore, his daughters Sharyl Matlock, her husband John Matlock, and Karen Skidmore, his grandchildren; Kyle Richards, Amanda (Tucker) Fontaine, Shannon Richards, and Nicholas Hughes, as well as his thirteen great grandchildren.
