David John Dean was born on October 6th, 1948 to Queenie (Press) & John Henry Dean in Hillingdon UK. He grew up in Yiewsley and attended Evelyn's School in the same town in West Drayton. Upon graduating, he went to work as a brick mason with his father, and then moved on to toolmaking as his life-long career trade.

In 1967 he met Janet Morrison, and they wed on February 1st, 1969. His daughter, Tracy Janet was born in January 1973, and his son, Christopher came along in June 1976.

The family emigrated to the United States in June 1987 as permanent residents, and settled in Milford, NH. In 2010, he and his wife purchased their current home in Lyndeborough, NH.

David coached varsity girls’ soccer at Milford High School, before moving on to Souhegan High School. He coached the Sabers girls’ team in their inaugural 1992 season that culminated in the Class I championship title for that year.

In his retirement he enjoyed traveling to Maine with his wife, watching soccer, painting, and carving figurines as his most recent hobby.

After a long battle with prostate cancer, he passed peacefully on Monday December 14th, 2020 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janet (Morrison), his daughter Tracy (Dean), son-in-law John Steel, son Christopher, daughter-in-law Tanya (Weissflog) Dean, sister Jean (Dean) Buck, and granddaughters Elspeth (Steel), Evangeline, Sophia & Hermione (Dean). A private service will be held followed by a graveside service and burial in the spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in David’s memory to the Community Hospice House, 210 Naticook Road Merrimack, NH 03054.
