Eleanor Ruth Clark, 85, of New Ipswich, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 24, 2024, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her family members.
She was born on June 6, 1939, in Boston, MA, the daughter of Violet Allen and Orland Achorn.
Eleanor worked in the office most of her career while living in Pepperell, MA. In the 1980s, she moved to New Ipswich, NH, where she remained a resident until her passing.
She was the wife of Richard A Clark Sr., who is predeceased. While her husband was alive, they loved camping, traveling, and ballroom dancing. They met when she was in her late teens at a roller-skating rink, fell in love, and married soon after.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her brother, Norman Achorn, and his wife Patricia of Plymouth, MA; her son, Richard A Clark Jr and his wife Kathleen of Greenville, NH; her daughter Linda Nelson of New Ipswich, NH; her grandchildren, Deanna Clark of Littleton, Colorado,and Jessica Clark of Peterborough, NH, Richard Clark III of Manchester, NH, and Megan Nelson of Plattsburgh, NY. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren
She rejoined her husband, Richard A. Clark, and her grandson, Christopher Nelson.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
