Obituary for Erkki Laaksonen
Erkki O. Laaksonen, 67, of Greenville NH, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Erkki, also known as Eric, graduated from Ashby High School in 1969. He worked as a stonemason and brick layer for most of his life. He also worked at Vanguard Manufacturing Inc. in New Ipswich, NH, where he was still employed.
Eric was an avid outdoorsman and an active lifetime member at the Fitchburg Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting, and fishing up until his passing.
Eric is survived by his son, Timothy Laaksonen of Fitchburg, MA, his grandsons Timothy Jr. and Seth Laaksonen of Jaffrey, NH. His predeceased son, Matti Laaksonen, 2 brothers, Markku and Turkka Laaksonen, Taivo Laaksonen (father) and Hilda (Ludia) Laaksonen (mother).

A Celebration of Eric’s Life will be held on February 9, 2019 at 1pm at the Fitchburg Rod & Gun Club, 985 Richardson Rd. Ashby, MA 01431
