Obituary for Florence Mickey Nevin
Florence (Mickey) Nevin, 90, of Wilton Center, NH passed away peacefully on October 7, surrounded by family after a brief illness. Mrs Nevin was the daughter of John and Florence Mackenzie of New York.
She had resided on Long Island and Florida before moving to New Hampshire. She was employed by NY Telephone Co. as a Senior Supervisor, also a Senior Observer. She also worked at Republic Aviation Corp in the blueprint department, at Farmingdale NY.
Mrs Nevin was a homemaker, Student of the Bible, was very athletic, enjoyed all sports, interested in Interior Design, sewing, gardening and enjoyed Traveling. She loved the mountains and the sea, loved sailing, especially cruises.
She was a loving mother of Captain John M Nevin, U.S. Merchant Marine Lcdr. USNR of Milford NH and daughter Patricia A Ellis and son in law William Ellis Sr of Temple NH. She adored her three grand children, Ashley Tino and her husband Guy Tino of New Boston NH, Jennifer Ellis of Boston MA, and Patrick Ellis of Temple NH, two great granddaughters, Mackenzie and Clare Tino of New Boston NH.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Ronald J Nevin of 55 years, who died February of 2007.
There will be no calling hours. Private family burial at Mount Calvary cemetery, Wilton NH.
Michaud Funeral Home, 32 Maple St, Wilton NH is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St Patrick's Catholic Church in Milford NH, Share food bank, or to one's own charity of choice.
