George E. Dixon, Sr., 89, of Brookline, NH, died in Londonderry, NH, on January 17, 2019. George was born in Glen Falls, NY, on August 3, 1929, the son of Fredrick and Madeline (Rivers) Dixon. He left this earth to join his wife, Louise Dixon, who passed away on October 17, 2012. He and Louise were married for 60 years.
They spent many years living in Zephyr Hills, Florida, Brookline, NH and Nantucket, MA. George joined the Navy in 1946 and retired in 1966. He then became a licensed plumber in NH for many years. He traveled all over the world, from the North Pole to the South Pole.
He is survived by his 4 children, Ginger Salisbury, and her husband David, of Brookline, NH, George Dixon, Jr. (Butch), and his wife Lori, also of Brookline, NH, Carol Thorpe, and her husband John, of Georgia, and Lynn Forlizzi, and her husband John, of Methuen, MA; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who he loved to spend time with. We will miss you Dad.
Service will be held in the spring. George will be buried with military honors at the Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, NH.
