Obituary for Helen Graham
Helen Graham, 87, of Mason, NH, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2017, at her home, while under the loving care of her youngest son, Barry. She was born June 9, 1929, in Mason, NH, the daughter of John Wiik and Hilma (Kuhmone) Wiik.
She married James Richard Graham in November 13, 1948. Helen was a lifelong resident of Mason, NH, and the youngest of 11 children. She loved music and played the organ, for a time, at Sacred Heart Church in Greenville, NH, where she was a member for many years. She was a wonderful caregiver and took great care of her daughter Ann while she battled cancer. Helen loved trips to the ocean and family time spent at a friends camp on Lake Sunapee for many years. She loved to be out in nature teaching her children the names of birds, trees, and flowers and always had an impressive vegetable garden.
Helen is survived by 4 daughters, Kathleen Starkweather and her husband, Peppe, of Silver City, NM, Christine Sullivan and her husband John, of Braintree, MA, Karen Chemello and her husband Hans, of Rindge, NH, and Patricia Ryan and her husband, Mike, of Troy, NH; 2 sons, Dennis Graham, of Mason, NH, and Barry Graham, of Stewartstown, NH; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Helen was predeceased by her husband, James Graham, and her daughter, Ann Graham.
There will be one calling hour at 10:00am on Friday, January 20, 2017, at Sacred Heart Church in Greenville, NH, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Mason, NH.
