Joan Theresa (Drabeck) Izzi 68, of Wilton CT, passed Thursday, September 22, 2016, after a long illness. Born on June 8, 1948 in Greenwich CT, she was the daughter of Olga (Frano) Drabeck and Andrew Drabeck.
She graduated Greenwich High in 1966, then attended and graduated Catherine Gibbs School in New York, NY. Upon graduation, Joan held multiple positions at IBM during her tenure. There she met her future husband Ralph E. Izzi.

Joan had a gift for interior and exterior design. She enjoyed nurturing her love of design through education and travel. As an accomplished seamstress she shared that passion by creating costumes, clothes, draperies, and more for family and friends. Her efforts were always appreciated for their originality and attention to detail.
Above all Joan is remembered for her faith and devotion to her husband, sons, extended family, and friends. She lived life to the fullest and encouraged others to do the same through her example.
