M. Arlene Peck, formerly of Stow MA, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2023 in Acton MA, at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of Warren “Bud” E. Peck who died on June 22, 1998.
Arlene was born and raised in Stow, daughter of Andrew and Alice (Manosh) Larsen. She graduated from Hale High School in the class of 1949 and then worked at an insurance company in Concord, MA. Arlene and Warren were married in Stow on February 8, 1951, built their home and happily lived there for the majority of their lives.
Arlene had a passion for bowling and was in leagues for many, many years. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, walking, bird watching, knitting, cross stitch, building puzzles, crossword books, and coloring. She loved Christmas time and everything about the season including the music, lights, television specials, decorating, and best of all, family.
Arlene was preceded in death by her son George A. Peck, granddaughter Vanessa Peck and son in law Rufus 'Lee" Grason. She is survived by her daughters Linda L. Webster, and her husband Donald, of Alden, NY and Sharon P. Grason of Rindge, NH, as well as her daughter in law Gail (Smardon) Peck of Newport, NH. Also, grandchildren Amanda Peck of Newport, NH; Ethan Peck of Scottsdale, AZ; Caitlin (Peck) Taifehesmatian of San Diego, CA; Jordan Grason of Jaffrey, NH and 5 great grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Michaud Funeral Home & Crematorium in Wilton, NH. Any donations can be made in her memory to the charity of your choice. In accordance with Arlene’s wishes, a private burial will be held in Stow at a later date.
Lastly, to quote Arlene’s written message to her family: “Celebrate my death with happy thoughts, not tears or I’LL KICK YOU! ; ALL OF YOU!”
