Obituary for Nita Monette
Nita Marie Monette, 91, of Peterborough, NH, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020, in Jaffrey, NH. She was born on March 18, 1928, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Adellard and Antoinette (Boisvert) Perreault.
Nita married the love of her life, Richard E. Monette, on July 28, 1952, in Enfield, CT. She spent her free time volunteering at the Medical Library, at Mary Lane Hospital, in Ware, MA. She had even run for Selectman in Ware, MA, in 1976. Nita was a lifetime member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Becket, MA. She loved traveling with her husband, painting, and camping. She adored her family and loved to be with them. Family was everything to her.
Nita is survived by her son, Brian Monette and his wife Margaret, of New Ipswich, NH, her step daughters, Linda Seymour of Plattsburg, NY, Donna Shreve of Plattsburg, NY, her grandchildren; Dennise Turmel and her husband Dominic of Bangor, ME, Nathaniel Monette of Keene, NH, Melissa Falls and her husband Vincent of Kingston, NH, Elicia Edwards and her husband Michael of Templeton, MA,. Her great grandchildren; Dominic Turmel, Emma Turmel, Scarlett Edwards, and Bennett Edwards. She is predeceased by her husband Richard Monette, and her son Thomas Monette.
On February 14, 2020 there will be a burial for Nita and her husband at the Boscawen Veterans Cemetery, in Boscawen, NH. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the VFW www.vfw.org.
