Obituary for Paul Dlubac Jr
Paul Dlubac Jr, 74, of West Wardsboro, VT, passed away on October 12th, 2017 at Tufts Medical Center. Paul was born in Danbury, CT to the late Paul and Marie Dlubac on July 30th, 1943.
Paul went to school at Henry Abbott Technical High School in Danbury, CT. Paul was a third generation carpenter and worked in the trade all his life. He worked side by side with his son Paul Dlubac III on and off for 25 years. He was a devoted father and grandfather. He served in the Marines for a short time and belonged to the Carpenters Union in Connecticut. He always had a way to pull you into a conversation and get you laughing. He was known for his lack of patience, hence the nickname, “The Mad Russian”. It didn’t take much to get him fired up! Paul enjoyed telling stories of past work and jobs done with his friends and fellow contractors including but not limited to; Mountain Plumbing, Swan Electric, Fitzpatrick Excavating, Kip Adams Roofing and WW Building Supply in Wilmington, VT. He was known for his advanced knowledge in the construction trades and his experiences in building hundreds of homes. He was organized and loved to work every day. He could build anything with or without a set of plans.
Paul is survived by his former wife Joyce Dlubac and their children; Heidi Dlubac, Paula Dlubac, Paul Dlubac III and his wife Trisha, his brother Joseph Dlubac, grandchildren; Kristen Petruccelli, Natalia Coelho, Michael Petruccelli, Lucas Dlubac, Tyler Dlubac, Samantha Soobitski, great grandchildren; Marleigh Crosier, Abel Crosier and his cat Kitty. Paul is preceded in death by his parents and grandson Pedro Coelho.
The family of Paul Dlubac Jr wishes to extend our sincere thanks to staff at Grace Cottage Hospital, the DHART Helicopter crew, the Cardiac Critical Care Unit staff at Dartmouth Medical Center, and the staff at Tufts Medical Center.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday November 4th, 2017 at 11:00am at Wardsboro Town Hall
