Obituary for Sandra A. Garcia

Sandra Ann Garcia, 78, of Merrimack, NH answered our Holy Father's calling to enter her heavenly home on Friday, November 12, 2021. Daughter of the late Wendell Hardwick and Constance "Connie" Guy Hardwick was born October 20, 1943, in Winchester, Massachusetts.

She was the eldest sister to her late brother Wendell “Bunny” Hardwick Jr., whom she loved dearly. Sandra from a young age was beautiful inside and out which led her to win The MAFAD Beauty Contest. A true fashionista who had many talents that included interior design, exquisite crafting, and delicious baking. She attended Jeremiah Burke High School in Dorchester, Massachusetts where she met and fell in love with Robert "Bobby" Garcia Jr.

Sandra united in holy matrimony to Bobby early summer of 1962. Their marriage was soon blessed with the arrival of three beautiful children. Sandra and Bobby moved their family to New Hampshire in 1975, where they continued to spread their love and joy. Sandra's passion for caring for others was reflected in her work as a Medical Nurse and a homemaker. She went on to work for Digital for many years whiling living in NH until her well-deserved retirement. Robert Garcia Jr. preceded her in death on December 22, 1997.

Sandra was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, godmother, and friend. She was devoted to her family and a matriarch of organizing family events, holiday gatherings, and cookouts; she thoroughly enjoyed entertaining and cooking. As a result of her generous spirit and outgoing personality, she was loved by many.

Sandra was the eldest of the second generation of the Hardwick family tree. She will always be “Auntie Sandra” to her first cousins and "Meme" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sandra will be greatly missed for her comforting smile and fiery spirit that served to strengthen her family.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Robert "Poncho" Garcia III of Merrimack, NH, Lisa Garcia of Hillsborough, NH, and Monique Garcia of Nashua, NH; daughter-in-law: Betty Maison of Hillsborough, NH; grandchildren: Brianna Garcia of Hudson, NH, Patrice Garcia-Johnson of Nashua, NH, Vaughn Garcia-Johnson of Nashua, NH; grandson-in-law: Erik Orellana; great-grandsons: Ezra Garcia and E'siah Orellana; great-granddaughters: Isabelle Simpson and Madison Simpson; doggy grandson: Taquito; along with many other devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a village of friends.

Sandra's influence touched and will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Now home with the Lord, reunited with Bobby and her family, she will be in our hearts as our guardian angel forever.
