Obituary for Sidney W Swett, Jr
One of the good people of this life, Sidney W Swett, has passed from us due to a sudden, massive heart attack on June 22, 2016. Sid was 67 years old. I, Ethel M Swett, have been blessed to be his wife for the past 35 years. We have been also blessed with two of the most amazing children, Elizabeth A Swett and Mathew P Swett. Along with Elizabeth’s partner Amy Hopkins and Mathew’s wife Julia, we have also been granted the supreme joy of our grandchild, Alexis E Swett. We have spent the last 21 years of our lives together in New Ipswich, NH, a small, beautiful town. Sid worked at Warwick Mills here in town until his retirement 3 years ago.
Sid comes from a large and loving family. Along with his immediate family, his four sisters, Barbara Halbedel, Nancy Murphy, Margaret Gregory, and Kathy McCarron and his brother Robert Swett, will miss him more each day that he is no longer with us. We will all miss his quick smile, his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, his kind and gentle nature, and his genuine goodness.
Traditional funeral home services will not be held, but if you would like to join us in a Celebration of Life where we can share memories and love, we will be gathering at his home on Sunday June 26th from 12:00 – 4:00 PM. Please come and share with us at 50 Poor Farm Road, New Ipswich NH. All family and friends and people who had the privilege of knowing Sid are welcome.
