(Veronica) Lucille Watt of Lyndeborough, NH, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2018 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH. Born July 20, 1942 in Keene, NH, to Rita (Bergeron) Moran and Francis Moran.
Wife of John J. Watt, married July 24, 1964, and mother of John F. Watt of Pittsburgh, PA, Kenneth Watt of Greenville, RI, and Jennifer Boulanger of Mont Vernon, NH. Mother-in-law of Monica Watt of Pittsburgh, PA, Janice Watt of Greenville, RI, and Kevin Boulanger of Mont Vernon, NH. Beloved grandmother of Joseph Watt of Providence, RI, Christopher Watt of Greenville, RI, Joshua and Nathaniel Boulanger of Mont Vernon, NH.
Lucille earned a master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Rhode Island. A gifted teacher, with a wealth of knowledge that she loved to share with everyone she came in contact with, Lucille was an early adopter of technology and loved it right to the end of her life. She was a librarian and media specialist in the towns of Billerica MA, Merrimack, NH, Nashua, NH, and Concord, NH.
A dedicated volunteer all her life, she gave of her time and expertise as a Girl Scout leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, was a trustee of the J.A. Tarbell Library, and served on the Wilton Lyndeborough Cooperative School board.
Vivacious in spirit to the end, Lucille loved reading, old movies, especially musicals, folk music, cooking, crafts, travel, and especially shopping! Generous to a fault, she and her husband, John, always opened their home to anyone (animals included) in need.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to J.A Tarbell Library (or a local library of your choice), or to the Wilton Lyndeborough Temple Ambulance Service. There are no calling hours, but a memorial service celebrating her life will be planned by the family. Please visit www.michaudfuneralhome.com to leave messages of condolences for the family.
