Francis Joseph Leger, 96, of Greenville, NH, formerly of New Ipswich, NH, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, in New Ipswich. Francis was born November 13, 1919, in Fitchburg, MA, the son of Napoleon and Emma (Landry) Leger.
Francis served his country in the Marine Corps during both WWII and Korea. He belonged to the American Legion Post 13 in Greenville, NH. Francis worked as a supervisor in the textile industry at Warwick Mills. He played guitar, sang country music songs and yodeled. Francis loved his family.
Francis is survived by 2 daughters, Kathryn Norbutus of Bennington, NH, and Donna Stevens of Manchester, NH; 4 grandchildren, Jessica, Peter, Kendra and Ian; and 3 great-grandchildren, Mason, Naomi, and Fiona.
Francis was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Hamer) Leger; his son, Michael F. Leger; and his granddaughter, Ashley.
