Obituary for Roger William Foisy
Roger William Foisy, 81, of Hudson, NH passed away at his home, surrounded by loved ones on December 8, 2020. He was born September 6, 1939, in Marlborough, MA to parents Edgar and Philinda (Tambling) Foisy.
Roger married the love of his life, Marie (McQuade) Foisy on October 13, 1956 and they built a wonderful life and family together. Roger worked as a rigger for 25 years at Raytheon followed by another 24 years at Diggins & Rose, both jobs he truly enjoyed. He was also an active minister in the Hudson, NH Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. He and his wife enjoyed volunteering on many ministry trips to places such as Michigan, West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Downeast Maine, and Virginia.
Roger enjoyed woodworking, building projects, and playing games. He was an avid fan of all the Boston sports teams and could often be found watching their games on TV. Roger and his wife both loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling to the mountains, the beach, or their next adventure.
Above all, family was most important. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as their animals, he absolutely loved his grandpups. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Roger is survived by seven children, his son Roger Foisy of FL; his daughters Paula Lavoie and her husband Leonard of NC, Kim Higgins of Hudson, NH, Jodi Holt and her husband Rick of Milford, NH, Amy McMullen of Hudson, NH, Laurie Johnson and her husband Kurt of Hudson, NH, Marie Devin and her husband Rodney of Hudson, NH; his sons in law Brian McMullen and John Desclos; his thirteen grandchildren: Jason, Nichole, Sara, Stacy, Katie, Stephanie, Lacey, Lindsay, Erin, Ian, Elijah, Liam, Riley; and thirteen great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years Marie Foisy; his brothers Edgar, Harold and Nelson Foisy; and his sister Jeanne Thornton.
