Staff members of Michaud Funeral Home & Crematorium are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

Carl earned his degree in Funeral Service in 1996 from The New England Institute at Mount Ida College in Newton, Mass., concentrating his studies in restorative art. He served his funeral apprenticeship at Anctil-Rochette Funeral Home in Nashua, N.H., and was licensed in 1997.

 In 2007, Carl and his wife, Lucille, purchased the Nelson Funeral Home in Wilton, renaming it Michaud Funeral Home, and in 2011, they acquired the former Fournier Funeral Home in Greenville, N.H., and are now serving the Fournier client families in the Wilton facility.

 Carl is knowledgeable in all aspects of repatriation of human remains both to and from the United States.

 Highly respected within the funeral profession throughout northern New England for his restorative skills, he is frequently called upon to perform complicated restorative work for funeral directors throughout the Northeast.

 Carl is a member of the New Hampshire Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. In 2012, he was appointed to the NH State Board of Funeral Directors and Embalmers by then-Governor John Lynch and served a five-year term.

 Carl serves on the advisory board of the New England Organ Bank in Waltham, Mass., and has been recognized by that organization for his service to families as well as to the funeral profession.

 He and Lucille have been married for 30 years and have two sons, Andrew and Matthew. Andrew is an Eagle Scout and earned a degree at Keene State College, studying Geology. Matthew is an Eagle Scout and is currently enrolled at Maine Maritime Academy in Castine Maine. Carl was an Assistant Scoutmaster and participated in various trips and activities, including leadership training and wilderness survival skills. He has earned Scouting’s Wood Badge, the highest level of adult Scout Leader training available.

 When not working, Carl enjoys spending time with his family, boating, scuba diving, hiking, camping and cooking.

Michaela Griffin Funeral Director/Embalmer, Certified Crematory Operator

Michaela had moved from Cromwell, CT to NH in 2018. She recently graduated FINE Mortuary College, in Norwood, MA, in May of 2020.

Michaela began serving her apprenticeship with the Michaud Funeral Home in the summer of 2019 and earned her funeral director's liscence in October of 2021.  She enjoys to talk with families during funerals and making new relationships with the families.

Michaela likes to spend her free time reading fiction novels, hiking local trails, baking treats and spending time with family.
