Obituary for Damon Emerey Christian
Damon Emerey Christian, 22, of Lyndeborough, NH, lost his struggle with addiction, Friday, August 18, 2017, at his home in Donalds, South Carolina. He was the son of Shannon M. Christian and Carrie Lee Carson.
Damon was born April 17, 1995, in Peterborough, NH. He graduated from Milford High School in 2013 and was on the honor roll throughout his years of high school. Following graduation he attended Nashua Community College.
Damon was a bright and determined young man. He worked all through high school for Market Basket in Milford, NH, at his father’s window cleaning business, and was an intern at Hollis Machining through a program offered through the high school. After high school he took over his father’s business. He also became a licensed life insurance agent and was renewing his firm belief in Jehovah God.
Damon had a radiant smile and could light up a room with his laughter and presence. He is so loved by his family and his friends and will forever be missed.
Our son, beloved brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend has been struggling with addiction for 3 years now. His pain, sadness, and struggle are now over. One more precious life taken by this horrible disease, this epidemic. Damon leaves behind so many people who love him and were hoping for him to beat this. He gave it one heck of a shot. We are proud!
Damon's loved ones include, but are not limited to: his mother, Carrie Lee Carson, and her husband, Anthony, of Lyndeborough, NH; his father, Shannon Mark Christian, and his wife, Joyce, of Donalds, SC; his sister and best friend for life, Hannah Elaine Christian, of Nashua, NH; his grandmother, Loretta Christian, of Jaffrey, NH; his grandfather, Vernon Christian, and his wife, Linda, of Jaffrey, NH; his grandfather, Richard Carson, of Londonderry, NH; his aunts and uncles, Joyce and Harvey Badour, of Flint, MI, Mike and Julie Savola, of Rindge, NH, Debbie and Tim Gutwald, of Painsville Twp, OH , Sherri Parker and Jerry Marrotte of Jaffrey, NH, Debra Hart, of Milford, NH, Betty Jean Spencer, of Montrose, MI, who has always been more like a grandmother; several cousins, Tonya Quartermouse and her children, Allison Quartermouse and her children, Marc and Deanna Savola and their children, LeeAnn and Keith (Teeth) Rhotehamel and their children, Daniel Gutwald, Becky and Larry Murphy, Robert and Melissa Hall and their children. Also, cousins Ann Brown, Patricia, David Hall, Amy, Dalton Hart, Denard Debruhl V, Meadow Debruhl; and many other step-cousins; great-aunts and great-uncles, Adele Walsingham and her husband, Jerry, Kay Hall, and Darrell Moore; and close friends, Nick, Uriah, Josh, Isaac, Charles, Mikayla and so many more.
Damon was predeceased by his grandmother, Rita M. Moore, his grandfather, David Lee Moore, and his wife Dian, his great-grandparents, Alice Pelletier, Arthur and Evelyn Christian, Paula and Harold Moore, and his uncle, Robert Hall.
Dear son and brother, may you now rest peacefully... Love forever, Mom, Dad, and Hannah.
Family and friends are warmly welcome to calling hours on Saturday, August 26, from 3pm to 5:30pm. A Celebration of Damon’s Life will follow at 5:30pm in the Michaud Funeral Home Chapel, 32 Maple Street, Wilton, NH.
There will be a gathering following services. Address to be announced.
