Donald Joseph Haney passed away on February 3, 2023. He was born in Nashua, NH on August 9, 1957 and raised in Wilton with his parents William and Priscilla Haney and Grandparents, Joseph and Louise McQuade, who all have since passed.
The family spent time in Germany as William served in the army, where Donald's brother Russell Haney was born. The family then transferred to Missouri where his sister Jo-Ann Haney Bird was born. Both Russell and Jo Ann currently live in the Tampa Bay area. Don graduated with many fond memories from Alvirn High School in Hudson NH. After a short stint as a Marine, Don moved to Houston Texas and brought Joshua, Jason and Brandy into the world. Donald went to Wentworth Tech College in Boston and proudly became a hardware design engineer for startup companies, eventually working for Cisco Systems. Joseph Haney Cass, Don's youngest son and the family lived in Greenfield NH for many years. Jason Haney fathered Don’s only grandson Connor Haney, who lives in Peterborough NH. Brandy Haney passed away as an infant, and Jason Haney is also deceased. Donald has an extended family of aunt's, uncles and cousins in St. Petersburg Florida.
Donald was known for his fierce pride and passionate heart. He loved to explore his surroundings on bicycle and follow the sun in his RV. He relished his time at home, preferably with all of his children and dear friends. Don passed away in Auburn CA with the sun shining on his RV.
Services have been postponed and will be held at a future date to be determined at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, contributions to Plowshare Farm, a 5013c Life Sharing Community in Greenfield NH, would be greatly appreciated.
